Audio/Video Ministry: Members of this team express Unity of Charlotte’s message through the excellence of public broadcast and archive excellence. Members learn the techniques and the rewards of up-to-date media process by participating in this ever expanding field of connection to greater Charlotte and beyond.  

Building and Grounds: This team is charged with excellence. Their responsibility is that of improving and maintaining the functionality and appearance of our Church Home and its environment.  This can be accomplished by painting what needs to be painted; by fixing or replacing what needs to be fixed or replaced; by mindful awareness that our outer world is a reflection of our collective “inner” world.  

Bookstore: The “Bookstore Buddies”, our volunteer team members, create an environment of enthusiasm for learning and spiritual investigation.  The Spiritual Path Bookstore at Unity of Charlotte is an open door to not only the Church members, but to the broader Charlotte community.  

Chaplains: Unity Chaplains are champions of consciousness and are trained to meet the prayer needs of our members. They regularly serve the congregation by presenting the Daily Word on Sundays, by holding a Silent Meditation vigil during the Service, and by meeting with anyone wanting Prayer support after the Service on Sundays.  

Greeters and Ushers: The volunteers who serve on these two teams are charged with the responsibilities of Order, Safety and Welcoming for Unity of Charlotte. They open not only our doors, but their hearts to welcome church members “home” each week.  They also stand as representatives of Unity and a welcoming embrace to all of the newcomers who seek our Church.   

The Home Run Express: This ministry provides weekly classes on basic spiritual principles at the Men’s Homeless Shelter in Charlotte.  An opportunity to be a presenter at these classes gives the volunteer a chance to share not only “what works” in life, but to share what has become most dear and personal to them. Participants in this down-to-earth ministry remark upon their expanded feelings of acceptance and compassion as they learn to serve others through this community outreach program.  

Hospitality: The Generosity of Spirit is given physical form by the members of our Hospitality Teams. Warm hearts are extended through their offering of warm meals on 1^st Sundays and every week at fellowship coffee hours. They also provide luncheon fare for those who want to participate in after Service workshops. The synergy experienced by workers who prepare and present food at our Church home is a constant reminder of God’s abundant Love and of Divine Creative Order! 

Landscape: This Team is dedicated to beautification as well as to eco-friendly relationships for our Church through the activity of planting, watering and nurturing new life in and around our grounds. They work directly with the soil and help to “ground’ our Spiritual attainment directly to the Earth.  They remind us that that we are all charged with a responsibility to be good stewards of our planetary home.  

Latino Integration Ministry: These volunteers meet on the last Sunday of each month to discuss and implement plans which allow us to expand our Church Fellowship into the growing population of Spanish speaking citizens in our Charlotte region. Greeting newcomers, holding classes and extending the Love of Unity principles are hallmarks of this dedicated group of volunteers.  

Marketing/PR: This group loves to “get the word out!!” Letting people know who we and what we are doing each week is a vital link between Unity of Charlotte and Greater Charlotte. Highly organized and efficient, this team is the pulse of our Unity heartbeat through the written and verbal message.  “Tell everyone” is their theme! 

Music Ministry: Volunteers to this team are people who are ready to “Let their Light Shine!!” on Sunday mornings. Heartfelt song serves to inspire everyone, all members, all ages, are welcome to participate on this team. To enthuse is to fill with God… and our music ministry is the perfect vehicle for your desire to step beyond yourself and to express your love through song.  

Office Assistance Ministry: This is a place for people who like to be in the hub of all the activities.  Assisting the administrator and the Ministerial staff is an ever changing and always interesting enterprise.  You will learn to use state-of-the-art office machines, greet the people who come through our doors during the weekday hours, and get to know more about the logistics involved in “running” our church home.  

Prayer Ministry: The Prayer Ministry meets regularly on the third Sunday of the month to experience support of member connection as well as functioning throughout the week in Prayer support for the entire Church. Our connection with Silent Unity is established through the Prayer Team as they work with our local requests.  They also contribute to a global response for providing Universal Prayer Consciousness on Earth. 

Social Ministry: Outings and events are coordinated by this team of people for the delight and education of Church members and their guests.  Fellowship and time for re-creation are important aspects of the Unity Church life.

Unity of Charlotte Prayer Book: Dori King has received and compiled a number of handwritten prayers and original artworks into a book form.  This book is being translated into Spanish and will be ready to publish in the near future.  Team members can learn more about the publishing process and can assist in the creation of this unique venture.  

Youth and Family Ministry: The purpose for the volunteers on this Team is to help establish healthy connections between the adult congregation and the youth of our Church. It is true that all of the children of our Church, just as all the children on our planet home, are not only our responsibility, but our gift from God entirely.  Learning to cherish and nurture that God-given gift is the quest and purpose of our Youth and Family Ministry.
