Nurturing a deep, mature experience of God through the practice of Unity principles
HOW WE CAME TO BE
In the beginning: The first meeting of what was to become Unity of Charlotte was held in 1969 at a private home, based on the Unity Study Groups advocated by founders, Charles and Myrtle Fillmore.
Along the way: Over the years the church has grown and evolved in many ways. Our wonderful ministers have served the growing needs of our congregation. In March of 2006 we had the opportunity to enhance our space for services and classes when we moved to our current location on Arrowood Road.
And now: In 2017 the church community went through a collective soul searching exercise. As a result of this 7-month process, a new vision evolved to reinvent the church as a mission-centric church. This inspirational model is based on small group involvement, which forges stronger ties among the church community. Our Church community engages in collaborative leadership with the Spiritual leader managing the ongoing affairs of Unity of Charlotte.
